Visual Ramp Editor

Shape the gradient. Skip the node setup.

Build ramps with direct, visual control over color, position and interpolation. Flip a palette, distribute stops evenly, sample an image or create a fresh variation without leaving the tool.

  • Drag, add, recolor and remove ramp stops
  • Smooth, linear and constant interpolation
  • Category-based and full randomization
  • Image sampling and reusable PNG baking

One focused workflow

From first color to connected shader.

01 / CREATE

Edit visually

Control every stop directly on the gradient canvas, with an inspector that stays in sync.

02 / EXPLORE

Find a direction

Start from 100 curated palettes or generate variations by category, stop count and interpolation.

03 / APPLY

Connect in one click

Create a native ramp for Maya or Redshift materials, or an Arnold aiRampRgb, and connect it to the selected input.

04 / REUSE

Save the result

Store personal presets, share preset packs or bake the final gradient as a PNG texture.

100 Curated Gradients

A real starting library, not filler.

Search a collection of cinematic, natural, metallic, pastel, neon and stylized palettes. Every gradient loads directly into the Editor, where every color and stop remains editable.

  • 100 unique, production-ready palettes
  • Searchable A-Z library
  • One-click load into the Editor
Presets + Randomization

Keep the good variations.

Generate ideas quickly, then save the combinations worth keeping. Personal presets persist between Maya sessions and can be exported or imported as shareable packs.

Choose a category, lock the stop count or interpolation, and generate controlled variations.
Ramp Generator My Presets tab
Save custom gradients, reload them instantly, and move collections between artists with preset packs.
New in version 1.1.0

One editor. Three shader paths.

Select a shader, choose an input, then apply. Ramp Generator builds the node network, handles color or scalar connections, and keeps renderer controls beside the gradient.

MayaNative ramp plus place2dTexture, six ramp types, batch apply, and live type updates.
ArnoldaiRampRgb with direction controls, scene sync, shader input detection, and undoable connections.
RedshiftNative ramps connected to supported Redshift materials, with shader refresh, batch apply, and live ramp-type updates.

Redshift mode supports up to eight ramp stops. Arnold features require MtoA; Redshift features require redshift4maya.
